5 Courses organized

  • 10 Entrepreneurial Skills course groups, in May-September 2018, for 135 people, within the Let's start Up Your Business! project. The courses were free of charge, with ANC recognized certificate. Eligible persons in the target group of the project (employed, self-employed, unemployed, inactive persons, who want to open their own business) participated free of charge in the introductory course in entrepreneurial skills, during 60 hours of theory and practice, acquiring the basic notions that will allow them to draw up a business plan and subsequently, to apply it in the business plan competition, organized in December 2018
  • 3 groups of course for Physical Security Risk Analysis for 34 persons, ANC authorized course, with a duration of 120 hours of theory and practice, to acquire the necessary skills to prepare risk analysis for their own company or for third parties
  • 1 group authorized course Technician for detection systems, video surveillance and access control, attended by 14 people.
  • 2 groups Personal Data Protection course, in collaboration with Professionals Business Knowledge Bucharest, for 31 people from companies registered in Botosani county
  • 1 group of course Archivist/archivist, with a duration of 140 hours of theory and practice, attended by 9 people. In total in the period 2016-2018, 6 such course modules were organized for 60 people from Botosani.
  • Waste Management Training Course for companies active in the trade and services sector, attended by 11 companies. A certificate of participation was issued.

Organized meetings / seminars / conferences

  • Seminar ”The role of financial statements in business management”, in partnership with CECAR, attended by 20 companies. A collaboration protocol was also signed between CCIA Botosani and CECAR, Botosani branch, in order to organize joint actions in the interest of economic agents in the county.
  • 5 promotion/presentation conferences in the framework of the Let's Start up Your Business! organized in Botosani county (Dorohoi, Saveni and Botosani). On this occasion more than 200 people from Botosani county were informed about the ongoing project, about the activities proposed in the first year of implementation, about the conditions for enrollment in the target group and about the advantages of participating in the entrepreneurial skills courses
  • The organization, at the beginning of 2018, of a Round Table with economic agents from the county, at which the Chamber's management aimed to take stock of the problems faced by businesses in order to identify solutions to support them. On this occasion there was also a presentation of the Balti Free Economic Zone. This meeting was attended by 65 companies.
  • Meeting with the representatives of foreign capital companies in the county, in the idea of setting up an association of foreign investors in the county. The CCIA management has pursued an open dialog on the problems faced by foreign investors, in an attempt to convey to the legislative factor the requests of the companies.
  • Interactive meeting with representatives of small and medium-sized companies in the county, to identify business expansion opportunities on the local market and beyond
  • Physical Security Risk Analysis Seminar, in partnership with IJP, attended by 20 companies. Following the presentation of the legislative conditions that came into force, the firms requested the organization of accredited courses in the field, which were attended, as previously mentioned
  • The meeting of the companies from agriculture and food industry with the representatives of the Regional Innovative Cluster of Bioeconomy Suceava-Botosani, in order to discuss the advantages of joining this associative structure
  • The visit of His Excellency Mr. DEREK FEELY, Ambassador of Ireland to Romania, accompanied by Mr. Liviu Buzilă - Commercial Attaché of the Embassy and Mrs. Raluca Curelea - Secretary General of the Romanian Ireland Business Association, on which occasion a meeting with representatives of the business environment from Botoșani was organized at the Chamber, attended by 10 companies
  • Visit of DG Employment - Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission and meeting with representatives of the business environment from Botoșani, at the Chamber's headquarters, attended by 18 companies from Botosani
  • Meeting - debate with the Minister of Labor on the guaranteed minimum wage in the market, attended by 38 companies. Following the intervention and requests received mainly from companies with foreign capital, the imposition of the guaranteed minimum wage on the basis of seniority was dropped.
  • Conference to promote the results of the project ”Economic Radiography of Botoșani County - Opportunities”, funded by the Botoșani County Council, a project that aimed to conduct a study on the attractiveness of the labor supply in Botosani for high school graduates and their willingness to follow a qualification in a trade in demand on the labor market.

Participation in meetings / conferences / seminars

  • Participation at the meeting of the Advisory Council for Entrepreneurship in the NE Region, organized in Iasi
  • The participation of the Chamber's management at the Round Table organized in Soroca, Republic of Moldova, by the Romanian Embassy in Moldova, together with representatives of CCI Iasi and CCI Vaslui, on the occasion of which took place a meeting with the business environment in Soroca and the presentation of the offer of the companies from Botosani that wish to initiate cooperation with companies from the Republic of Moldova
  • Participation at the regional event AGRO ON - evolution through association, an event dedicated to associative forms in the agro-food sector, organized by RDA NE in Iasi
  • Organizing the participation of two companies from Botosani at the Romania-Sudan Republic Economic Forum, organized in Bucharest
  • Presentation of the economic offer and the portfolio of offers for companies wishing to establish cooperation with companies from the Republic of Belarus, on the occasion of the visit to Botosani of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Romania - event organized at the Prefecture of Botosani
  • Participation at the round table on the Crime Prevention Campaign and facilitating the social reintegration of persons deprived of liberty, event organized by the Prefecture of Botosani
  • Participation in the meeting of the Botoșani County Partnership within the PRO-PACT project, Promoting NGOs and social partners through advocacy, capacity building and training, project co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Operational Program Administrative Capacity (POCA) 2014-2020
  • Participation in the meeting of the Local Social Partnership Development Committee CLDPS organized at the Botoșani School Inspectorate, with the theme of analyzing the schooling plan for the 2018-2019 school year, and discussions related to dual education as a form of vocational education
  • Botosani, working meeting within the Regional Innovative Bioeconomy Cluster SV-BT, for the analysis of development opportunities in the field of bioeconomy in the Suceava-Botosani area, event organized by the Botosani City Hall
  • Participation in the Romanian-German Cooperation Exchange organized in Suceava by the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the Suceava County Council, in order to identify areas of cooperation between Bavarian and Romanian companies. 5 companies from Botoșani participated
  • Participation in the Conference ”Smart Start USA - Efficient solutions for the internationalization of Romanian business”, organized at the Prefecture of Botoșani by Laufer Foundation in partnership with CCIR; 7 companies participated
  • Participation in the conference ”Vocational and technical education in Botosani - Specific projects financed from European funds” organized at the Prefecture of Botosani, on the occasion of which was presented the study carried out by CCIA.

Other initiatives

  • Opening an information office on the authorizations necessary for the functioning of companies, with representatives of decentralized institutions, with bimonthly functioning. Unfortunately, even after a sustained publicity, companies did not understand the advantage of being able to talk to all the decentralized institutions in one place, which is why their representatives refused to go to the CCIA headquarters. The protocols signed remain valid and work can resume at any time.

  • Renting conference and training rooms to third parties
  • County TOP of Firms edition XXV, which was attended by about 160 people, representatives of the top ranked firms.
  • Project „Train for Performance”, submitted within POCU 2014-2020, Axis 3 - Jobs for All, specific objective 3.12 - improving the level of knowledge/competences/skills related to the economic sectors/areas identified according to the National Competitiveness Strategy (NCS). The project aims to run awareness campaigns through information seminars for the target group; it also aims to organize continuous vocational training programs (initiation, qualification, requalification, retraining, upgrading or specialization courses in Botosani and Iasi counties, depending on the needs identified in the companies).The target group of the project is composed of employees with CIM from enterprises that operate in one of the economic sectors with competitive potential identified according to the SNC. The project is in partnership with Indeco Iasi Association and Consensual Iasi Association, CCIA being the partnership leader. The total eligible value of the project is 2.789.453,68 lei, of which CCIA has allocated 1.065.809,92 lei, the implementation period is 18 months.
